Xbox One S Hitting Stores This Holiday Season

You can check out our Xbox One S tracker HERE!

It looks like Microsoft has finally come out with a slimmer version to their famous Xbox One. The Xbox One S Console is the perfect gaming console for any tight space. This new Xbox is approximately 40% smaller than the original. Now in the eyes of many smaller doesn’t seem better. However, the Xbox One S would like to disagree. You can purchase a 500 GB, 1TB, or 2TB Hard Drive Xbox One S. The console also has 4K ultra HD video and high dynamic range. Who said bigger was always better?

The console wasn’t the only thing that received an upgrade. The Xbox One controller also received a little upgrade of its own. Each controller that comes with an Xbox One S has enhanced comfort and feel. It also has textured grips for a sturdier hold. A sleek design, larger hard drive, and upgraded controllers all wrapped up into a smaller and more elegant console. The Xbox One S has varying prices. The 1TB Xbox One S is $349.99 MSRP, the 2TB Xbox One S is $399.99 MSRP, and the 500GB Xbox One S is $299.99 MSRP. Unfortunately, the Xbox One S will not be released until December 30, 2016, but you can still pre-order the Xbox One S by going to our tracker above. Also, don’t forget to check in with our daily blog to stay tuned for more Xbox One S news!

Which Games Do You Wish Were Backwards Compatible?

If you own an Xbox One then I bet you have a wish list of backwards-compatible games. Just out of curiosity is Black Ops II on that list? If it is then you are not the only one. In fact Black Ops II is the most-requested Xbox 360 game on Microsoft’s official backwards compatibility survey page. Black Ops II, from the last time I checked, had somewhere around 77,000 votes, which was right behind Rockstar’s ole famous Red Dead Redemption. Red Dead was a close second with around 75,000 votes. If you have other games on the backwards compatible list comment down below to let us know! Hopefully, Rockstar and Activision will consider bringing some of these old favorites into the current generation consoles.

Dying Light Review

You can purchase Dying Light at

Finally! It is in my possession! Dying Light is by far one of the greatest games I have played in a long time. It has great features that make it fun, energizing, and a good ZOMGIE game. Good games are hard to come by, and good Zombie games are even harder to come by. My standards for a zombie game are pretty high, but this game passed all of my tests with flying colors. So where do I start?
Lets start with the gameplay. I am using my Alienware PC to play this game. My PC has an Intel i7 Core CPU, I have 8 GB of RAM, and I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 graphics card. With all of this being said the game still lags a bit during intense cut scenes or hectic fight scenes. This is not a huge problem because the lag is minor, and it doesn’t really interfere with much of the gameplay. At most I’ve had a 1 – 2 second lag, and it was only during a cut scene so its not like I was getting pulverized by a zombie horde or anything. So, out of all the gameplay I’ve gone through this is the only major issue I could find. Everything else runs smoothly. Scaling walls, beating a zombie’s head in with a pipe, or just talking to other CPUs are flawless. Overall, the gameplay is smooth, and crisp.
But what about actually playing the game? Slow down their cowboy! I was just about to get there. The gameplay is… uh… well… I’d say… IT’S FREAKING AMAZING! Parkour + zombie apocalypse = SUPER FUN! Having the ability to scale walls, and evade zombies’ makes so much more sense to me than spraying and praying. Trying to kill every zombie you see would take too much time and effort. Plus, at night the zombies turn into… well I’ll just let you figure that out for yourself! And to top it all off the time used to kill zombies could be used to find supplies, or get to safety. In Dying Light you can use the time spent on not killing zombies to craft weapons, search for resources, completing missions, and so much more. All of your hard work will pay off once you level up and earn skill points to level up your character. You can learn crazy skills like dodge. This will help you evade zombies, all the more reason not to kill them all. In Dying Light you have the ability to scale walls with ease, jump over walls, or any parkour trick you can imagine. Zombie survival is all about evading, and not about killing. Staying alive is your priority, not killing everything that moves. Overall, I give Dying Light a 9 out of 10. It has great game mechanics, the game runs smoothly, and it’s NOT all about shooting. I have a feeling that this game is going to dominate most of my free time from now until I finish it. So, my recommendation is get the game! It is a great new game for all you zombie lovers, and you also have the option of playing Co-op with your friends. Surviving the zombie apocalypse just got a lot more intense!

Ding Light Trailer:

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

So, to be 100% honest I am not super excited about the new Call of Duty Advanced Warfare game being released on November 4, 2014. Compared to all of the other games that are being released this year, like Destiny, Call of Duty is definitely on the lower end of my list of must have games for 2014. But taking a look at the trailer, and the gameplay for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare I have to say that I am slightly impressed.

When Activision released Modern Warfare 3 I was extremely disappointed, and from then on I sort of lost hope for the Call of Duty serious. It is truly unfortunate that my love for Call of Duty has faded away because the Call Duty franchise is what got me into first person shooters. So, ever since Modern Warfare 3 I kind of just looked down upon the Call of Duty series. But, like I mentioned earlier the trailer for the new Call of Duty games seems kind of promising. Now it may not look like Destiny, or the new Halo game, but it seems like there has been a bit of an improvement in the gaming engine. The gameplay looks smoother, and the game seems like it could be entertaining. Hopefully, Activision will be able to live up to my expectations on this franchise because I would really like to jump back into the Call of Duty gaming experience! Like most games, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will retail for $59.99.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4

The two hottest gaming consoles of 2013 are almost here! The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 are the two most anticipated console releases but both systems have their similarities and differences.
The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is a Sony product that is mostly gamer focused and intent on creating the ultimate experience for gamers. Aside from its incredible graphics and speed  (the system is centered around a powerful custom chip that has a state of the art graphics processor), social capabilities  (there’s a share button so you can send your favorite gaming moments to all your friends), second-screen features– (bring your gaming experience to your phone!), and intelligent personalization features (learns about your gaming preferences and gives you suggestions), this system allows for gaming developers to create innovative games and exhilarating experiences.

If you buy a game and it takes time to download, you can download while you play to increase your game time and decrease your down time. Also for the PS4, The DUALSHOCK 4 controller has a touchpad located in the middle of the controller, allowing for a completely new gaming experience.

The Xbox One is a Microsoft product designed to be the best entertainment console and most advanced gaming system. For the Xbox One, performance matters. You waste no time with the Xbox One because the system wakes up instantly with the magic words: “Xbox On.” This voice feature is part of the Kinect that comes with all Xbox Ones. With the Kinect, you get three innovative technologies: voice, motion, and vision. Kinect voice allows for you to command your Xbox from anywhere in the room, Kinect motion creates a unique gaming experience where a simple hand gesture lets you control what you’re doing in a game or on an app, and Kinect vision is a camera that has a wide range of sight and can tell if you’re standing off balance. Combined with these three technologies, you can imagine the gaming possibilities for the Xbox One.

With the Xbox One, there is no need to wait for those game and system updates because they run in the background while you’re doing something else. You can switch between your favorite entertainment apps and the game that you’re playing with ease. The Xbox One also comes with a Blu-ray player so you can watch your favorite movies and play games in HD quality. If that isn’t enough for you, you can enhance your gaming or movie experience with the Xbox SmartGlass app for your tablet or phone.

These consoles are currently selling out everywhere so track the Xbox One here and the PlayStation 4 here to make sure you know when it’s back in stock!

Dead Space 3

It has been a while since Electronic Arts has announced the release date of Dead Space 3! Coming out on February 5, 2013 and retailing for $59.99, Dead Space 3 will add on to the already fantastic Dead Space series! In general I have never really been a fan of horror games. I usually stick to my first person shooters or my third person RPG games, but about a year ago a friend let me borrow Dead Space 2, and I have to admit it was spectacular! The game kept me at the edge of my seat and I never let go of the controller! I remember one of the intense scenes in the game when then main character Isaac Clarke went into a room and a vision appeared in his head of people in chambers on the wall freaking out! The scene was super intense and got me to spring out of my seat! Dead Space 2 is a very unique game, and is probably the only horror game up to date that I have really enjoyed. Hopefully Dead Space 3 will continue the epic shoot outs and the intense scenes to give the game a feel that no other game can produce! The Dead Space games have tons of action and horror to entertain any Dead Space fan and hopefully the new game modes like co-op will add more fun with your friends!

2012 New York Comic Con

If you weren’t able to make it to this year’s New York Comic Con then don’t fret because zoolert has got you covered! This year at the New York Comic Con we were able to see a ton of new and cool products that everyone has been looking forward to for this upcoming holiday! One of the coolest and most anticipated products that we were able to see at this year’s Comic Con was Assassins Creed 3! The game was probably one of the cooler products we were able to see because Ubisoft didn’t just just have some lame booth out for show, but instead they had a room where they had a live game play of their new video game! Yes I said it live game play of Assassins Creed 3! Unfortunately we were unable to film the game play because it was prohibited but at least we can give you some information about the game. From the looks of the game the fighting and assassinations are a lot cleaner than the previous Assassins Creed games, the game allows you to actually climb trees, and you have a more interactive environment! For instance some characters in the game will talk to you if you pass by! Ubisoft also added cool new assassinations into the game. For instance you have the ability to use a rope dart that latches onto your foes! Sounds cool right? Well it gets even better, once you have them on your rope dart you can suspend them in mid air if you’re on a tree by jumping off the tree and pulling the rope down!

Assassins Creed 3 wasn’t the only big hit at this year’s Comic Con. Just Dance 4 also attracted quite an audience. They actually had people get up on a mini stage and dance to different styles of music! With clearer visuals and some cool songs Just Dance 4 is another game to look forward to for this upcoming holiday. Other gaming companies were showing off their cool new games as well. For instance Sony had a ton of new PS Vita games and their new God of War game out; Resident Evil 6 and World of Tanks were also there to show off their new products, and the Wii U was also their stealing a large chunk of the Comic Con audience! This year’s Comic Con had a ton of new games, but even with all of the fantastic new games coming out they didn’t forget about the comic books! With over a thousand different and fantastic comic books for sale we just couldn’t wait to see them all! From the Walking Dead to vintage Marvel comic books it was every comic book fans dream! Aside from all of the cool games and comic books there were also a ton of cool costumes at the Comic Con as well! Some people had more professional and cooler looking costumes than other but all together it was really cool and unique seeing all of these people showing off their favorite comic book and video game characters! This year’s New York Comic Con was a blast. With over a dozen different games and a ton of cool comics it surly would make any comic or video game fan go crazy!
