DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus Assembly

Even though the Phantom 2 Vision Plus may seem extremely complicated it is really very simple to use. Assembling and charging the Phantom are all relatively easy. In this blog we will be teaching you how to charge and assemble your Phantom 2 Vision Plus. The only parts that require assembly on your Phantom are the propellers. The propellers are extremely easy so assemble. All you need to do is match up the color on the tip of the propellers to the color on the base where you will attach the propellers. Once you have matched up all of your colors you can begin to screw on the propellers. Next find a small arrow on the propellers directing you to turn either clockwise or counter-clockwise and turn in that direction to tighten. If any of your propellers break or are severely damaged then all you need to do is grab the wrench tool and place it on one of the grooves located on the wings of the phantom. Turn the propellers in the opposite direction to which you tightened your propellers and carefully remove. It’s just as simple as that!

Charging your Phantom is pretty self explanatory. First you will need to charge the actual battery for the Phantom, and then you will need to charge the range extender. Both the range extender and Phantom battery have their own charger which is included with the set. When charging the Phantoms battery you will notice that it will begin to blink green when in charging. These lights will turn a solid green color and then shut off once the battery is fully charged. For the ranger extender the light will turn a redish-orange color when charging and a green color when finished charging. As you can see the Phantom may seem like a super complicated and out of this world quad-copter, but in reality it is just as easy to assemble and charge as any toy copter out on the market!

Beauty, Precision, and power. These are just some of the adjectives I would use to describe the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus. Honestly, I could continue to use other adjectives, such as stylish or incredible, but then this blog would be composed of nothing but adjectives. Instead I will dedicate this blog to what is included inside of this set (we will also have separate blogs on how to fly, calibrate, and assemble the Phantom 2 Vision Plus).

When you first open up your Phantom 2 box you will notice that there is a seal, and protective cardboard covers. You will need to carefully break the seal and remove the cover. Once the cover is removed the first thing you will notice in the box is the Phantom 2. This quad-copter is a pure white color with red decals by the sides of the propeller. Next you will notice the radio transmitter or remote control. The remote control is also a pure white color with an iPhone/iPod stand for live footage of your flight. After removing the radio transmitter you will notice that the set comes with four batteries for the remote (I would recommend purchasing rechargeable batteries, but these batteries should hold out for at least a couple of flights). Finally, there will be three white boxes. These boxes are the accessory kit, quick start kit, and propellers. Once you have examined all of your components, and made sure that your Phantom 2 and radio transmitter are in good shape then you can start assembling your quad-copter.

R/C helicopters have really grown over the past decade. I remember in 2003 when Air Hogs seemed like they made the coolest R/C helicopter on the market. Now other companies want a piece of the R/C helicopter action! DJI has not just created a new and improved helicopter, but they have revolutionized the Helicopter R/C industry! The new DJI Phantom R/C helicopter is by far the most technologically advanced helicopter I have ever laid my eyes on! The helicopter might leave a HUGE dent in your wallet (MSRP: $849.00), but the technology behind the DJI Phantom is phenomenal! The Helicopter has a built in GPS tracker to locate where the heli is at all times. It also has a camera that allows you to take pictures and or videos of your flight! The new DJI Phantom may be expensive, but for a new R/C helicopter it sure packs a ton of new and unbelievable gear!
