Air Hogs Heli Cage Hands On Review

As much as we would all like to admit that we can fly an indoor helicopter, the truth is that in reality they are a little difficult to get used to. The worst part about flying a new helicopter is that before we can even get used to flying the plane we end up crashing the helicopter into a table or a random plant and before you know it your plane is broken because the cheap Styrofoam won’t hold. Air Hogs as been in business for quite some time now and they have really improved their techniques for making planes. The new Air Hogs Heli Cage is an upgrade from those cheap Styrofoam planes! The Heli Cage is built with a sturdy yet flexible plastic that can resist hard crashes and flexes on impact. Now the durable plastic may be an upgrade, but that isn’t the only thing protecting the helicopter from a huge hit. Another huge problem with R/C helicopters is that when the plane crashes the main rotor is too exposed and can crack easily. Air Hogs has come up with a simple yet effect way to protect the main rotor. The main motor is surrounded by a cage. The cage is round and surrounds the helicopter kind of like the way an electron circles around an atom! The unique design of the helicopter makes it fun to fly and you don’t have to worry about every little crash that your heli goes through. The price for the plane is not bad for $39.99 you get the Heli Cage, two tail rotors, a removable rotor tool and a remote control.

The plane comes with your basic up, down, left, right, left trim, and right trims controls. The Heli cage has a sleek design and the overall base of the heli is composed of gray, orange, and black paint. Overall the plane is fun and easy to fly and there are really not too many complaints. The only issue I found is that you are really going to want to buy rechargeable batteries to keep the fun going otherwise the plane has no structural flaws and can withstand a lot of hits. Flying an indoor heli is always fun and now the new Heli Cage R/C Helicopter allows you to fly your plane without any worries about it breaking on impact!

Little Tikes TikeStix Playhouse Building Set Hands On Review

Inspiring your kids to be creative is very important for improving their minds to think outside of the box! Any toy that has to deal with building or constructing is always a great way to get your kids up and using their imagination as well as their building skills! The new Little Tikes TikeStix is a fun and cool new toy that uses the basic tools so that your kids can easily pick up some pieces and start building!

The set is recommended for kids ages 4 and up and comes with 50 pieces. With over six possible building combinations to start off with your kids can create any toy that can be used for them to play with, for instance you can build a house so your kids can pretend to be home owners, or you can build a crib so that your kids can place their stuffed animals in it.

My younger sister has already built a house and a ticket stand for her movies and she continues to build even more fun toys like a wand or a cool sword for me to use! In all honesty I would have to say that the toy is great to use and can really keep your young kids entertained but at the same time you need to make sure all of your pieces are nice and clean because loosing pieces is not fun. As long as the station is clean when it is done your kids will have a blast building and playing with their new Little Tike TikeStix!

Here is one of creative desgin my kids came up with.

Android Kurio 7 Tablet For Kids

With the new iPad hitting the markets, more and more people are transitioning to the pad-mania. At the same time, more tabs are being innovated with various positive aspects in mind. One that is standing out among the crowd is the accessibility for kids and teens. However, concerned parents are anxious over the educational value, functionality, and safeness of the tablets. On the other hand, kids and teens are more apt to be taken into the wave if the tablet fulfills their entertainment requests. Taking these into mind, Techno Source has created the Kurio 7 Tablet to apply requests from parents and their younger tag-alongs.

The new Kurio 7 tablet is described by Techno Source as the “kid-friendly tablet that doesn’t cut out useful features.” It features a single core, 1-GHz Cortex A8 CPU, a memory of 512 MB of RAM, storage of 4GB, a micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n, HDMI out, a front-facing camera for Skype, and a USB port. The tablet is accessible to the Android market without the ads, microtransactions, and inappropriate content. Access the web can be limited by parents by enabling them to filter out sites that they deem unsuitable for their young ones. While the tablet may not be as powerful as the Kindle Fire or iPad, it is a major step tablet-wise for kids and teens who are just inching for a tablet but are not yet ready.

Beating out Fuhu Nabi on Android version, Vinci Tab on price and design, and the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer on usefulness over the single digits, the Kurio 7 is definitely one to keep an eye on.

At a price of $199, the 7-inch Kurio 7* includes:
• 1-GHz Cortex A8 CPU
• Memory of 512 MB of RAM
• 4 GB storage
• Micro SD card slot
• Wi-Fi b/g/n
• HDMI out
• Front-facing camera
• USB port
• Parent-control on Android Market and web access

*8- and 10-inch will also be available on the market this year.

MGA Entertainment company to support cancer research at city of Hope

American International Toy Fair, New York (Feb 10, 2012) –– Today, MGA Entertainment announced its commitment and support to the fight against cancer by launching new hairless versions of their hit doll brands, Bratz® and Moxie Girlz™. Under the banner “”True Hope,” MGA will release three Bratz® dolls – Cloe™, Yasmin™ and Cameron™, and three Moxie Girlz™ dolls, Avery™, Sophina™ and Jaxson™. Available at Toys“R”Us® stores and beginning in June, MGA will donate $1 for every “True Hope” Bratz® and Moxie Girlz™ doll, sold to distributors, to City of Hope for cancer research.

The announcement comes on the heels of an ever-growing social media movement that calls for toymakers to create hairless dolls to emotionally comfort young girls and boys who suffer from hair loss due to cancer treatments.

“MGA’s mission is to provide joy and happiness to kids around the world. We believe children are our legacy and want them to be healthy, have confidence in their imagination and build their dreams into reality,” said Isaac Larian, CEO MGA Entertainment. “We have a responsibility to children and we take that responsibility very seriously. The Bratz and Moxie Girlz “True Hope” dolls are designed to support and comfort young girls and boys who so bravely endure cancer treatments. MGA also wants to be an active supporter in the fight to develop lifesaving treatments for children.”

“We are proud that Toys“R”Us will be the first retail destination to offer “True Hope” dolls, which embody hope, strength and courage for children facing adversity,” said Jerry Storch, Chairman and CEO, Toys“R”Us, Inc. “This charitable initiative by MGA is consistent with our own philanthropic mission to help kids in times of need, including those fighting pediatric cancer.”
MGA has tapped City of Hope as the recipient of monies that will be generated from sales to retailers of these dolls. City of Hope is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a comprehensive cancer center, the highest honor bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, City of Hope’s research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation. City of Hope is located in Duarte, Calif., just northeast of Los Angeles.

“City of Hope is at the forefront of research to ensure that people with cancer receive the best possible treatment,” said Steven Martin, vice president of marketing for City of Hope. “The support of MGA Entertainment will help our researchers in their drive to discover new and improved treatments. The “True Hope” Bratz and Moxie Girlz dolls are wonderful opportunities to raise funds for lifesaving research – as well as to raise cancer awareness among young people around the world.”
