Ratuki is a game of speed and excitement!
Here’s how you play …but I have to first start off by saying I am the WORST at reading directions for games! That being said…I had a really hard time figuring out how to play – but once I did it was a blast!
Each player starts with 35 colored cards with the numbers 1 through 5 represented by various number symbols, roman numerals and words (Spanish & English). Once everyone has their cards someone yells Ratuki! and then the game begins! All the players simultaneously race against each other to put the cards in ascending and descending order. Anytime you put down a 5 (on your pile or someone else’s) you get to snatch the stack! The point of the game is get rid off all your cards and collect the most stacks. Once the first person is out of cards the game ends. The person with the most collected cards wins!
The first time I played this was with my five-year and although he loved it he wasn’t as able to move as fast as you should with this game. I still think it’s a great game for kids his age and older because it got him looking at numbers in a different way. It’s also good for hand/eye coordination, strategy and decision-making. Later I played with some adult family members, the faster pace really made for a fun game!
Ratuki is available on Amazon for $9.99 so you really can’t go wrong. It’s a fun game with a low price and needs no batteries! I definitely recommend it for family game night!
